The Founder's Journey
Hello, my name is Charles Redmond. I served for eight years in the United States Marine Corps as a combat engineer. When I joined, I never could have predicted the toll military life would take on my body. Following my discharge, I faced a series of medical challenges that left me unable to maintain a regular exercise routine — something that had always been a big part of my life.
That changed when a close friend introduced me to hemp.
Hemp became more than just a remedy — it became a turning point. It helped manage my pain while exercising, improved my focus, eased anxiety and paranoia, and most importantly, it helped me rediscover the joy of working out. The transformation was so powerful that I made it my mission to learn everything I could about different cannabinoids and their potential as a supplement for wellness and fitness.
Today, I've built a career around hemp-based supplements, and I'm passionate about sharing what I've learned. My goal is to help others unlock their potential, manage pain naturally, and explore the many ways different types of cannabinoids can support a healthier, more active lifestyle.
Why Hemp?
Hemp has remarkable pain-relief properties. On many days, consuming hemp before a workout transforms my experience. Sometimes, it makes my pain tolerable, allowing me to enjoy my workouts; other times, it leaves me entirely pain-free. It enhances the mind-muscle connection, improving focus and concentration. Plus, it boosts happiness and enjoyment, making every gym session more fulfilling—even for those using it recreationally.
The Birth of Edible Growth
Edible Growth was born from a moment of realization. One day, I was in the gym parking lot, having just taken my pre-workout and a hit off a bong, when I noticed a cop driving by. I held my breath, nodded at the officer, he nodded back and as he drove away, I thought, "wow, that was stupid." That anxiety filled experience inspired me to create a cannabinoid-infused pre-workout, eliminating the need to smoke before the gym. Over time, I enhanced my formula by adding adaptogens and nootropics, taking my supplements to a whole new level.
